Youth Pastor, Aaron Parish, challenged us from Luke 14 to not reject any invitation that Jesus gives to us believers, and to reach out beyond what we are normally comfortable with and offer Jesus' invitation to all. The invitation to the banquet should be all-inclusive, but the banquet is reserved ONLY for those who accept the invitation. We must not quit, we must not stop.

NHBC's intern, Jeremy Collins brought today's message from Luke 14:1-16. Are the religious leaders of Jesus' day really concerned about right worship of God? Their actions speak louder than their words. We can point our fingers at them, but what about us? Do we truly live and work in humility before God, serving Him and those around us, or are we self-serving and exalting ourselves?

Unrepentant believers miss out on the blessing of God.  Repent today!

In Luke 13, Jesus up ends the common misconception that good things in our lives indicate God's blessing and bad things indicate God's judgment. We don't know how much time we have. Time is short. We must repent, whether that means coming to accept God's grace in the gift of forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ, or as believers repent of those things in our lives that separate us from God.

How should we deal with the difficulties of life? Should we go along as if nothing has happened? Do we become bitter? How can we continue firm in our faith in God?

It is God's heartbeat for all believers to love each other in unity, showing the unbelieving world that God's love is for everyone.

Bill Watson challenged us to do what we "get to do," not what we "have to do."  God has kept man at the center of His plan to fill the Earth with God's image and subdue it by commanding us to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything He has commanded us.
